Type of wood used in Rabbit hutches?

What type of wood is used in rabbit hutches that are used outside?

I don't think it matters, mine is made out of pine.
Just looked at rabbit book and beech-wood is best apparently because it is non-absorbant.

Raising rabbits for for eating? What kind?

Heelo Friend-
My parents were from Italy and I grew up eating rabbit.. All kinds of great Italian dishes my Mom would cook. Well, my Dad raised a certain rabbit out in the backyard and he has since passed away. I never asked him what kind it was. Anybody know?

I have eaten wild rabbit a few times and buy it at Wholey's Fish Market in Pittsburgh but do not know what breed it is.
I have a bag of rabbit tenderloin fillets in my freezer but it is not specific about what type of rabbit.

Raising a Healthy Rabbit explains all the essentials of caring for a rabbit, including choosing a rabbit for adoption, the proper way to pick up and carry a rabbit, and setting up the best housing. It also includes vital information on supplying proper nutrition (including when, what, and how much to feed your pet); performing daily, weekly, and monthly health care checks; recognizing and treating common health problems; and stocking a rabbit first-aid kit. by Nancy Searle 32 pages; 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″; Paperback.
